The Story
In 2017 L'Occitane launched its first online store in the Middle East, Itcan was startup with high ambitions towards becoming the number 1 leading marketing company in the Middle East. Since then, together Itcan and L'Occitane managed to over-achieve many of their initial goals.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was Introducing L'Occitane to the KSA marketplace while abiding with L'Occitane international branding guidelines. Our strategy for rapidly growing L'Occitane's brand in the middle east relied heavily on performance marketing. This inherently means risking our own capital upfront to deliver the desired results. Laying proper foundation in terms of tracking to implement performance marketing campaigns.
We aimed to create a best in class competitive strategy to compete with international giants. With a smaller team and a lot less money. Increase User Acquisition and Revenue of L’Occitane by 200%. We also wanted to focus on tactical campaigns with constant optimization & analysis to improve performance.
KSA National Day, Special launch of Beauty Advent Calendar, Black Friday, and Mother's Day campaigns made in total = AED 5,601,362 in revenue, for about AED 314,312 in Advertising cost and 16.8 ROAS. After thorough analysis of all the activities that lead to this success accompanied with the natural growth of E-commerce industry caused by COVID-19 we felt the urge to capitalize on the increasing demand on buying products online. Therefore, we organized the biggest advertising campaign (SUMMER SALE) that we have ever done for LʼOccitane which resulted in AED 4,130,506 revenue for about AED 140,000 in Advertising cost and 29.5 ROAS (in 3 Days).
